My parents met at a football game at a tailgate party at Michigan in the mid 40s.My dad told me that the tailgate party food(after I had attended a tailgate party before a Packer game and told him what we ate)consisted of smoked oysters,crackers,pate,cheese,cucumber sandwiches,and good Manhattans.
