From what I have read some check-out cash registers at some fast food joints have pictures of items rather than prices, so thst a Big Mac, for instance, is shown as a picture and therefore no one has to ring up $2.99 or whatever. Is that true ??? Recently I caused a check out girl in a super market a sleepless night—- the bill was something like $8.73 I handed her a $10 and she hit the info into the machine, but then I said oh wait, I have $0.75 in change. She had to get the manager to do the math. It is a shame. And plastic bags are another nuisance as Vince stated. I had a client who showed me a picture of a kitchen cabinet chuck full of them and wanted to know if I would design a special cabinet for them—I told her I would not, that she should throw them out. She was afraid to. Someday she might need them………….I think I might be getting too old for all this nonsense.
