Most places I’ve lived didn’t do a thing.
Cincinnati does it up a little bit. The westside is full of us Irish (& German) and drinking is considered to be a sporting event. I guess St. Patrick’s Day would be something like the Pro Bowl because we called it amateur night.
You can tell who they are by the green beer[xx(]!
Where I live now they just throw up road blocks[:0]. Yeah I know, I’m shocked too[V]!
