Yep, that’s the place! My hotel’s just a couple of miles north on highway 141, at its intersection with I-44, so I’ve been to Viviano’s several times and they’ve also catered a couple of lunches at work.
Fortunately they’ll substitute for Provel and the Mangia Bene is pretty good with provolone. I hope you tried a cup of the mushroom-brie soup while you were there.
I had to have the real deal- authentic St Louis “Eyetalian” provel and all. We were too full for anything beyond the gerber sandwich. Sandra only had a quarter of it since she had a pulled pork sandwich at Smoki O’s a couple of hours earlier. We thought Smoki O’s potato salad was one of the best “sides” of the trip.
