I had a friend that wired a cattle prod to his feeder. He used insulators on both sides and ran the wire to the insulators to the prod on the interior of his house. When he observed the squirrels at his feeder, he pushed the button and they fell off. That worked real good until he was tired of doing that and they returned very quickly. It seems that nothing will deter hunger??
