Jim s Red Sauce:
1 Pound of Ground Chuck
1 Pound Sweet Italian Sausage
1 Large Sweet Onion, diced
Splash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
One Jar of Prego Spaghetti Sauce
Half Cup of Red Wine
6 ounces of V-8 Juice
1 Can Stewed Tomatoes (14 ounces)
1 Tablespoon anchovies paste
1/2 cup of Grape Jelly
Brown meat in oil until cooked. Crumble with fork, then drain. Stir in tomatoes, onion, V-8 juice, Prego, red wine and grape jelly. Cook, stirring often, 15-20 minutes or
until jelly melts and sauce is piping hot.
If you like, add fresh oregano, basil, or garlic.
