Notes- The distress signal S O S was retired a short-time back. With the improvement of voice transmission few vessels use the Morse Code to communicate these days. Whatever authority has the jurisdiction for making that decision apparently ceased official approval of the long-known symbol of a need for assistance.
SOS is one of my favorite breakfasts. These days it is usually served in the form of Biscuits and Gravy. While not a direct substitute, it’s a close enough ‘Cousin’ to keep me happy.
I wish I could find a cartoon I saved for years… visualize a lady on the roof of her family house, ripping up shingles off the roof, talking to another person on the ground… Caption reads, " I don’t know why, but Harold wants to fix a special breakfast he learned to love in the Army"!
