I’m with you, Tara. That is how my Dad always made it, and that is what he called it. He said this is the way he had it served while in the Army stationed in LaRochelle, France.

However, while I was stationed in Germany, the SOS in the mess hall was made with ground beef…..[V]

So I guess this turns into a matter of opinion and personal experience. However it is prepared, it’s mighty good S**T !
