You should see what the prices for a pack of cigarettes are here in New York City…with both state and city taxes, you’ll see them over 8 dollars a pack..but, this has also opened an unfortunate "black market" with people running down south to places like Virginia and North Carolina with lower taxes, buying up cartons, and attempting to resell them on the streets of New York. You can hear "smokes, smokes" on certain corners nowadays.
