Some public nannies have just filed petitions to get a smoking ban on the November ballot for my city. The city council won’t pass such a ban so these folks are trying to take it to a vote of the people. I cannot imagine it passing here. Interestingly, one of the leaders of this pack of we-know-what’s-best-for-everyone-and-you-don’t nags is the wife of the police chief. He opposes such a ban.
