1 ginormous bowl
Cold Water
Ice
Your shramps
Soak the shrimp for 15 minutes in an ice bath. Dump the water, restock with ice, fill back up with cold water and soak for another 15 minutes. Dump the water, restock with ice, fill back up with cold water and soak for another 15 minutes. 45 minutes total. When done, rinse and finish deveining if needed.

My mother took an informal poll at her water aerobics class,"I never heard of that!" was the consensus, but IDGAF, that's how Nonna said to get the iodine out of shrimp, and that's good enough for me.
