For People Afraid of Making Gravy…
Fry one pound country sausage and cook it until brown covers the bottom of the pan. do NOT use a non-stick skillet.
Drain all grease.
Sprinkle 2 Tbsp flour over the sausage.
Turn heat to high. Stir while sausage reheats to distribute flour.
Add a very liberal grinding of black pepper.
Pour in 2 C. of milk.
Stir constantly, and scape bottom of pan with spatula to incorporate crispies.
Let cool for 5 minutes, it will thicken.
Serve over hash browns, toast, or biscuits.
