funny…I’m making smoked kielbasa and pierogies tonight…no not from scratch unfortunately….what I do is rinse the kraut a few times in water….then squeeze out the extra moisture….saute it along with tons of thinly sliced onions in a bit of butter and olive oil till golden….then add the pierogies….cover for a couple of min then remove the cover…add the sausage to crisp everything up….lots of good mustard…mmmm…it’s a mixture of rain and snow up here in the Albany, NY area…sounds like a warming dinner tonight….
