Very sad to break the news to everyone, but Lou’s Living History Donut Museum closed last summer after 51 years.
But I bet GloriaJean and I can come up with some good places for anyone else who wants to come to SJ. One of the local favorites is Falafel Drive-In on Stevens Creek Blvd (near Westfield Shopping Center-Valley Fair, but not close enough to get caught in their traffic). For $6.50 you get a wonderful big falafel sandwich in pita bread and a banana milkshake. Great roadfood and frequented by lots of Silicon Valley workers and students for lunch and dinner.
Even though on the exterior San Jose is a soulless mess, a wannabe LA, there’s plenty of good food here.
