Apologies. I thought that rice varieties were kind of like wines – i.e. champagne only being produced in one region in France. [:I] All others were just "Jasmine-style" or some such. I will defer to those that know more than I do. I am still not a fan of the jingoistic statements like "American rice is the best in the world," but I guess it is what it is.

Fortunately, "experts" are weighing in on this crisis – and they, too, know more than I do about it.
