When we do a Costco run we usually schedule it for early in the week…Monday or Tuesday, and arrive just as the store opens..They say 10 AM on weekdays, but the doors are open by 9:45 normally. We find it more convenient to avoid the Mom and kid combinations, and the aisle blocking sample carts. Most of our shopping is in the food area except in unusual individual cases (printer ink or a kitchen thingy or books for a gift etc)

   Besides the scooter carts have a full-charge in the morning…by noon they are running out of energy.

Our store gets fairly busy early on, but nothing like the lines at the door waiting for opening that  we used to face in SoCal.
