I have seen posts and mentions of KFC, Lee’s Famous Recipe chicken, and Popeyes, but I have not seen any mentions of the great Roy Rogers chain. (web site: http://www.royrogersrestaurants.com/)
Roy Rogers has a nice variety of items on their menu from sandwiches to sides to shakes, but I always went there for the delicious fried chicken. For fast food, that chicken hit the spot for me! Delicious, crispy skin, perfect every time I’d order. The fries are ok – nothing spectacular there – it’s the chicken you want! I’d rather eat Roy Rogers chicken than KFC any day of the week.
Unfortunately, several locations have closed down over the years; the chain currently operates throughout nine states in the mid-Atlantic region.
If you’ve never been to Roy’s and are in the need of a fried chicken fix, I suggest you go sometime!
I agree. I used to eat at the one in Piscataway NJ. A KFC was nearby and I would eat at RR for fried chicken everytime over KFC.
