Rome, NY!! Don’t get many people passing through there anymore. I was born and bred there for my first 26 years. Definitely Teddy’s for the Chicken Riggies and Humongous onion rings. There’s a review for it on the site. Big Daddy’s on North James Street has subs that I’ve always loved. A review on the site as well. The Savoy is okay, but I’ve always found their meals to be hit and miss. The Plaza on East Dominick St (just a few blocks from the Savoy) has a really good chicken Parm, a good rendition of Riggies, and their bread basket has some of the best pizza bread (nicely browned cheese and lots of oregano) I’ve ever had. The Franklin Hotel is pretty good. There’s a review on here for that as well. It’s listed as Vescio’s Franklin Hotel. If you have time, Nora’s Candy Shop on Doxtator Street has turkey joints, a candy like no other and to die for! A bit expensive and somewhat hard to describe. Check out their site at http://www.turkeyjoints.com. Unfortunately, a lot of my faves have closed in the last 10 years so the field is somewhat limited now. Its a good town if you like red sauce Italian food. Hope this is helpful.
