I held out for Columbia, and am glad I did. Fantastic q, fried chicken and, especially, hush puppies at Palmetto Pig. Also enjoyed the incomparable Duke’s in Orangeburg on Saturday. For those who’ve not been, Duke’s is as sumptiuos as it is simple. You pay $6 for a plate and then are told to "chow down." Hash, rice, q, slaw and pickles. Oh, sweet t and white bread, too. Got down three plates full.
