Wytheville is my stopover point when travelling to Florida. If you go in to town I would recomend dining at the Log House restaurant. Built in 1776, it is a old log cabin restaurant. I had a New York Strip here and it was the best steak I have ever had. The seafood is excellent too. There is a gift shop also. If you like hot dogs, try out Skeeters downtown. All the locals eat here. It’s an old building with old tables but the dogs were good. Out on the west side of town is Smokeys bar-b-que. They have good bar-b-que here and a buffet which was pretty good. The fried chicken was yummy. I haven’t been there for a couple of years so I hope it is still in business.
