In my humble opinion, The Odd Couple was the greatest sitcom of them all. “Oscar” was a hero of mine as a child. What a life he had! A sportswriter that palled around with all the ballplayers; he got to eat giant subs in his bedroom; and he hooked up with Jay P. Morgan.

For my 12th birthday, I insisted on lasagna with French fries because it was Oscar’s favorite meal (although one he claimed it was creamed chipped beef on a donut).
