The Texan BBQ in Algonquin is a true Roadfood find. They smoke all of their own meats and they serve everything from brisket and ribs to chicken and sausage.

Gale Street Inn (in Chicago not Mundelien) are reported to have good ribs.

Jimmy’s Char House (various locations) and Andrews (Park Ridge) have great ribs and chicken.

One place that you wouldn’t (at least me) expect to find good ribs is Barnellis. They are part of the Portillos chain and can often be found in a Portillos establishment.
