The author had obviously eaten at Phil Smidt’s in Whiting, IN. A wonderfull historic restuarant known for it’s lake perch, frog legs and gooseberry pie. Whiting is a tiny town on Lake Michigan, squeezed between Hammond and Chicago. Wonderfull food, very traditional supper club with great service since 1910… [:p] http://www.froglegs.com/index.html
