I am quite flattered that you have an appreciation for my vast wealth of knowledge. Unlike you, I’ve lived in Seattle, Albuquerque, Pittsburgh, Long Island and Albuquerque. In addtion, not only have I traveled extensively but through my career and networking I have gotten to know many people around the country including Boise and Minneapolis. I learned through them the vast differences of regional variations around the country, I didn’t just make them up myself. Why don’t you call give my old company in Seattle a call and ask for my coworker of Basque descent who transfered from Boise and ask her what she thinks. Or perhaps you can call my friend from Minnesota who I met in training 15 years ago and ask for his opinions on the decline of Scandinavian Cuisine in the Twin Cities.
I know you were only looking to insult me, but guess what, you just insulted the Sterns too. How dare they include a review in their Road Food books of Louis Basque Corner in Reno Nevada , a city with even a smaller Basque Population than Boise and also only two Basque Restaurants to boot instead of that Thai or Ethiopian restaurant across the street. Based on your assumption, it appears that all their books are simply just sweeping generalizations. Oh, and I know that Los Angeles has more than one type of cuisine, but anyone, and I’m not included, can tell you that Southern Cal and Hawaii have some the best Sushi on this planet.
