I miss National Bohemian, aka, Natty Boh. It is no longer brewed in it’s birthplace- Baltimore. You can still find it in cans- but the one I recently held in my hand revealed that it was brewed in San Antonio. The taste is not even close to the original. The ritual of steamed crabs and Natty Boh is, alas, history.
You can still find Mr. Boh’s face around town on signs, t-shirts, etc. Most conspicuously, a huge, illuminated Mr. Boh adorns the brick facade of a new condo complex in east Baltimore- in the very building that once housed the National Bohemian brewery.
