In Jean Shepherd’s exquisitely funny stories about growing up in "Hohman", Indiana, he mentions that his "old man" drinks Atlas Praeger beer. I thought this was a made up name until I noticed a photograph of a Chicago storefront in the book "Chicago Breakdown" with an Atlas Praeger Beer sign in the window. Does anybody know about this beer and whether it’s still around?
