Sorry, I don’t know about the details of Hudepohl.
Hudepohl! I hadn’t thought about that brand in years. Back around 1972, I was visiting a friend who had moved to Cincinnati. I asked him what the best local beer was, and he named Hudepohl. I tried it, and really enjoyed that brew for the week or so that I was in Cincy.
Another regional beer that few probably remember is Barmann Beer, a product of the Peter Barmann Brewery in Kingston, NY. Apparently, this brew was sold in the Hudson Valley, and possibly in NYC also, but it appears that they went out of business in the ’30s. I have researched the company’s history a bit, in connection with some genealogical research, but would be interested in any info that other members of the board may be aware of. However, I suspect that only those who are really "long in the tooth" would recall this brew.
