To the original poster, CoinM, I’m still in the Northeast and it’s getting harder to find a restaurant that will serve a burger anything but well-done. And I won’t go back if they won’t do (at least) medium-rare.

It’s gotten so the "consuming undercooked food" warning is actually a GOOD sign. At least they’ll consider it, rather than having some pimply-faced server tell you no after you’ve made up your mind. Smaller places with regular clientele are better bets. Makes sense. Their lawyers probably actually eat the food.
