Believe it or not, when my husband and I lived in North Carolina, our favorite place for fried seafood was the seafood restaurant at the State Farmers’ Market. We’re both Florida natives and very picky about our fried seafood and they do it right there. It’s a paper plate and picnic table kind of place and the menu is very limited, but we never had a bad meal there. There is also a home cooking restaurant there at the Farmers’ Market as well, but we never got past the seafood place. If you go, try the crabcakes – they’re great.
