Wild quail are a true treat. NC’s quail population has dropped 80% in the past twenty years so they are now scarce. I won’t even shoot them anymore they are so scarce. Wrapped in blanched bacon and grilled they are wonderful.

V960…you’d be the guy then to ask this question ………….. is the frozen quail that is sold in supermarkets very much different in taste then a fresh wild quail?
The reason is I personally don’t like anything frozen, veggies are OK , but never fleshy meat.
