My latest ‘app’ is for bacon.
Mrs. Metro brings back three lean, thick slices from the butcher (with packaged bacon so expensive these days, it’s hardly more expensive and I get exactly what I like); I then lay them on parchment paper, on a baking pan, in a 400 oven. Tong flip once after 6 minutes, wait another four to six. Perfect.[:p]
No mess, no splatter, no fuss: with lean bacon, the fat does not run over the edge of the parchment paper so clean-up is a snap.[8D]
