You can have prime rib without getting USDA Prime beef.

I agree. "Prime rib" of roast beef is not a grade but a cut of meat between the primal chuck and short loin containing seven ribs. It will vary in quality depending on it’s grade but, prime or choice, it’s still "Prime Rib". pb
