I can eat the frosted ones right out of the box,
but the plain ones need to be toasted. They’re like a really dry cookie otherwise. I pull the crust off too. Never tried the butter thing.
I remember when I was a kid we had competition for poptarts here in the northeast. Can’t remember the name, but they were frosted, a little thicker, and shaped like a spiral. Sort of like a @ with a few more rings around it. Those were good.
