Well that’s fine. Would I rather give my child a pastry "candy bar" for breakfast then actually take the time to make her a healthy meal? I don’t care if it’s oatmeal, "Grape Nuts", "Rice Krispies", or eggs and bacon, I will make it for her. Oh, and by the way I do not drink coffee.

The point is to share the early moments of the day with your loved ones. They will not be around forever and shoving food in them just do get them out the door is not right. I know that I am prostilitizing but this is the way that works for me.

I get up every morning at 5:30am and start to work on breakfast. Sometimes it is complicated(we had a fritata today) and sometines it’s not. You know, cereal or a lone egg. But she has a real meal to wake up to.

I know that we all have hectic schedules to meet but I will not skimp when it comes to my family. Nor will I give her a box of crap and send her off to school.
