If your child has to get up to deliver the paper then do you not believe that you should be up with him/her to make sure that they get off safely? That they have a good breakfast to give them energy to deliver the papers. I know that we have gone way off topic. But the menus I have mentioned generally do not have lots of sugar. Look at the back of the Pop-Tarts box and see if it does’t have high fructose corn syrup. By the way, I feel and I might be a caveman, but I do think that my child is the most important person in my life. I would no longer malnurish her as I would neglect her. Actually there is no Mom, I just want to make sure that my daughter has a good meal with her father before she heads out for the day. We do the same at dinner as well. We do eat stuff that is probably not the most healthy thing but I try not to let my child (10) decide what is best for her. As a parent that is my job.
And if you were at my house for breakfast and I decided to serve Pop-Tarts, I would expect you to leave.
PS. There is no quality time at McDonalds.
