Depending on when you’ll be there, I’ll meet you for dinner. [:D]
Most everything I know is East Lansing, as Lansing proper pretty much sucks for food. Sultan’s Place is on the top of my list (it’s in the Hannah Plaza on Hagadorn) for Mediterranean sit-down. Beggar’s Banquet on Abbot Road is good food with an excellent wine list, but not ridiculously expensive. For Chinese, the best places are either Korea House (on Trowbridge) or Gourmet Village on Hagadorn (also in the Hannah Plaza). If you just want a good, quick "bar" meal, the Harrison Roadhouse on Michigan is your best bet. For Mediterranean "fast food", go for Woody’s Oasis on Trowbridge (they have a couple of other locations, one of which is also a bar, but I don’t know where they are offhand). Thai Kitchen on East Grand River is also pretty darn good. Sindhu Indian Cuisine (also on Hagadorn, in the Hannah Plaza) is most excellent.
The best deep-fried pickles I’ve found north of Tennessee can be found at this hole-in-the-wall, smoke-filled bar called Dagwood’s on Kalamazoo avenue.
