I m sure it was a good pie 20 years ago but so much has changed in 20 years and often my memories of a food item (taste-texture-eye appeal) 20 years ago are not much different than my memories of anything 20 years ago, not so very accurate. The food industry has changed dramatically in the last ten years let alone 20 years; I would respectively suggest you should go for the same taste that you remember but not necessarily the same process. Is there a pizza operation that is current, offering a close resemblance to what you remember?

As far as your plan to sit down with your cousin-in-law and offer him a piece of the business I m not sure I d do that. It s hard enough to make a good profit in any business let alone the food industry without giving it away to a non-productive partner. How about a nice picture on the wall of your cousin-in-law and big thanks for his dedication to the industry and family, along with a pizza for life certificate. Are you even sure his memories are even going to be accurate? Just some thoughts.
