It’s well laid out, authoritative, and reliable.
For definitve KC foods (unless otherwise noted, all addresses are previously listed or available at posted links):
Fiorella’s Jack Stack (high end of reasonable, not economical but one of the premier Greasehouses in KC. It’s in Overland Park, so that’s a plus)
RJ’s Bob-Be-Que Shack
Winstead’s (many locations all over town; there are at least two in and around O.P.)
Westport Flea market Bar & Grill, 817 Westport Road, KC (816)931-1986
Town Topic (cheap greasy burgers at numerous all night stands. Whenever presidential candidates are in town, this is the place they go for the "everyman" photo-op. Good people watching, okay burgers.)
Manny’s, 207 Southwest Blvd., (816) 474-7696
Or, just head over to Southwest Blvd. and start driving. There’ll be more good choices for Mexican than you’ll know what to do with.
Some additional notes; there is NO good pizza in Kansas City (If you’re going to have some of the best Barbecue available anywhere, you’ve got pay the price by losing something else). However, there’s plenty of good upscale Italian in town. That lady, Lydia (can’t remember her last name) who has the PBS Italian cooking show, has a restaurant in KC. I think it’s called (of all things) "Lydia’s" (maybe not).
Okay, that’s it. I’ve got nuthin’ more to say on this matter. have good trip. Eat well and report back where you end up going.
