Paul, a very interesting post. I always enjoy reading about the many varied interests people have, and wondering how they were arrived at. My interests in no particular order are:
My family – I have a close family, including an identical twin brother, and we get together as often as possible.
Classic British sports cars – I have two MG Midgets and an Austin Healey Sprite. Very small cars for my 6’2" 260 lbs.
Photography – I still have a complete darkroom rig, although since going digital it is currently dismantled.
Woodworking – Especially wood turning.
Home improvements – This is my wifes interest she channels through me. She initiates the projects and I execute them.
Cooking – I do most of the cooking in the house, as well as a mean brisket on the BBQ. Dining out also falls under this heading.
computers – The geek in me loves electronic gadgets, computers, cell phones, PDAs ……
hunting and shooting – I still enjoy target shooting, although in the last few years I have watched more wildlife through binoculars than through a rifle scope.
junk collector – this is also my wifes term. I do love prowling through flea markets, auctions, and second hand stores, not looking for anything in particular. I just like old things and the stories they tell.
Reading – my tastes run to American history, but my daughter did get me to read the whole Harry Potter series.
