Paul, thanks for the interesting topic – and congratulations on 10,000!

My interests/hobbies… well, let’s see:

*Singing and playing the piano. One day, when I have my own house and plenty of room, I will own a baby grand piano. Or at least something better than the low-end 62-key keyboard I rely on now. This is my stress relief.

*Hiking. I’ve discovered a love for this just recently – but I live in one of the best areas for it (the Appalachians) and opportunities abound – and there is no more spectacular sight than the one from the top of a mountain. Plus, just being in nature and admiring the beauty and stillness all around you… it makes me feel so relaxed, and reminds me of the perfection of the Creator. Maybe one day I’ll hike the AT… that would be an incredible experience.

*Medicine – specifically pathology, pharmacology, toxicology. I teach myself a lot. I love to learn how diseases work and how treatments work, and I really find tox (and autopsies, for that matter) fascinating. I wish I knew how to direct that passion into a career that doesn’t involve research or med school, though.

*Food and food science – I love to bake, especially. Again, I teach myself a lot. And I think the science behind cooking is really interesting. Thus the reason I’m hooked on Alton Brown (or was, until I gave up extended cable…)

*Sudoku puzzles and crosswords – another stress reliever.

To Michigander – my DBF also has an MG, I believe his is a B. Love it! Such unique little cars.
