In Murray, Utah, near Salt Lake City, is a KFC outlet, with a sign that states: " The World’s First KFC." In this area they were called Harman’s Kentucky Fried Chicken after the individual who owns (owned?) the franchise rights, but all the signs had the Colonel on them. During the 50’s and early 60’s they were mainly sit-down restaurants. The annual Days of 47 Parade on July 24 always seemed to have the Colonel in it and he was always a big hit with the spectators.
