Most KFC franchise operators screwed up by not controlling their quality, but not all. Unfortunately it is a hit or miss deal. The one in Corbin KY is still great and due to the museum, it is fun. When the Colonel first started, that was when chicken was great and it was a big deal. The first one in Knoxville was in the early 60’s and it was super. They went downhill and now seem to be improving their product.I guess they have to go through that cycle.

If you are driving down I-75 and are close to Corbin, KY, stop and take a break and get some extra crispy, coleslaw, mashed potato’s and gravy, bisquit and prepare for blood sludge, however it is good.

The museum will show you the motel setting and the antique kitchen the Colonel used.
