Passed through last week, The Rose was closed (Sunday) so I kinda fell into a place called Harrigan’s Bar & Grill (across the street from Hooter’s) and much to my amazement I had perhaps the best Prime Rib steak I have ever had the pleasure to pass my lips.
I’m not really much of a Prime Rib guy, but they do a Mesquite cooked number that would hold up at any steakhouse in the nation. The server said either folks love it or hate it. Ordered the medium sized one (it was Flintstone-sized huge) cooked medium and prepared perfectly. The rest of the dinner was quite pedestrian, baked potato, salad, small loaf of brown sweet bread. But, oh that steak… just a splash of aujus on it as well. The place itself is, while nice, not over-the-top fancy. The dinner ran about $16.00 if memory serves.
Best dumb luck food encounter I’ve had in a good while.
