You may want to check out DiBella’s Old Fashioned Subs. It is a small chain that started in Rochester and recently opened a place five minutes from my house. I am very much a chain frowner, but this place is much better than the typical chain and is worlds apart from the Subways or Quiznos of the world. According to their menu, they have seven locations in the Rochester area.
I had a garbage plate for breakfast at the Lyell Avenue Nick Tahou’s last Sunday morning. What a way to get your heart started, huh? Anyway, next door was a little Italian bakery, which we checked out. We bought a one lb. of assorted cookies and some cannolis and liked everything we ate. Sorry, I can’t remember the name, but it is literally right next door to Nick Tahou’s.
