At the risk of being flamed, etc, I do feel that paneer and yogurt aren’t similar at all. Yogurt is milk being cultured with a bacteria, whereas paneer is the curds being separated from the whey. Yogurt takes time and proper temperature and a bacteria, paneer can be made in minutes because no culturing is involved. It is simply the act of separating the curds from the whey with an acidic property. I wasn’t discrediting anyone, just wondering why my previous post was ignored.
Anyway, I think it’s very cool that TastyBites can package it up in a box that can sit unrefrigerated in your cabinet for a while. I think it’s very cool that Costco is carrying Tastybites, although I haven’t seen them here yet.
We went to the Costco in Twin Falls, Idaho this summer and were very pleased to see that most of the wines we buy at the Costco here in KC were easily 15% less expensive!
