I’ve had an interest in starting a Comfort Food Bistro. I would call it "GRITS – A Gourmet Comfort Food Bistro". I’d have 10-15 various recipes of Grits on rotating menu along with other Comfort foods from around the country. I’d have a "Grits of the Day" offering and rotate them to create interest and returning customers. I was thinking it would work in an Old AnteBellum southern style home like the one’s over in Belle Meade, only cheaper! People in Nashville like anything nostalgic that reminds them of days gone by.
See the link I started a while back: http://www.roadfood.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16195
I lived in Brentwood from 1979 to 1983, off Moores Lane. When we lived there, there was a gas station on the I-65 Moores lane exit and that was it! Nothing else! Now look at it! My daughter & family live in Franklin. What’s the name of the School you’re attending?[;)][;)][;)][8D]
