Let’s see, it has been so long since I made my own. My neighbor asked me not too long ago to show her how to make cole slaw. I told her what ingredients to get and we sat down and I had her do most of it while I showed her what to do and how. But cole slaw is so darn easy to make that I just slap it together.

But the way I showed her was cut the cabbage down (half head at a time) throw it in a bowl, add the miracle whip until you have it mixed pretty good and not too dry. Then add your vinegar and sugar a little at a time (since you can’t take it out). Then stop when it tastes like what you want. Then throw in some salt and pepper for good measure. Throw it in the fridge and let it juice up a little, mix it again and you are good to go.

What ended up happening was she was having a party at her mom’s for some friends over labor day (last year) and was having everyone bring something and she was bringing the slaw. After her husband got home she showed him what she did and he liked it so much he ate half of it before she could leave for the party. I guess that tells you how it turned out. [8D]
