My Fellow firefighter, I have a new slaw recipe for you!
Not the same creamy slaw recipe that we all choke down.
Sweet Pepper Slaw
1 head of cabbage or a bag of shredded cabbage
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
1 medium red onion
1 TBSP of celery seed
1 TSP ginger
1 Tsp pepper
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
3/4 c red wine vinegar
1/2 c olive oil
1-2 cups water
Shredd cabbage, clean and de-seed and de-stem peppers, slice peppers thin. chop onion thin and combine with cabbage.
In seperate bowl combine remainder of ingredients then add to cabbage mixture and let stand in fridge over night.
This is a great slaw. You can experiment with the spices .
