Oooh, can’t decide – here’s a few favorites, NOT necessarily in order of preference:
1. Cheese steak with fried onions, American cheese, ketchup, and hot peppers.
2.Two from our local hoagie emporium, Capriottis: a) the "Bobbie" – homestyle (not deli) roast turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo on a hoagie roll
b) their "Capastrami" – hot pastrami with swiss cheese, cole slaw, and russian dressing on a hoagie roll
3. Last but not least, at the Corner Room in State College PA they used to serve a hamburger club – on three slices of toast with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I had these so frequently in my college years, the waitress (who’d been there for many years) would put the order in the minute I walked through the door. After moving away, I returned at least five years later. As I sat down at the counter, "my" waitress walked over and said, "hamburger club?" Now THAT’s a Roadfood waitress after my own heart!
