A Mexican torta milanese with crisp pickled jalepenos and carrots. Summer tomatoes and lettuce, leaf or iceberg, with salt, pepper and Hellman’s Mayonnaise on lightly toasted wheat bread, dill pickles and chips on the side. Tuna salad on white bread. I could go on and on. We love most things between slices of bread. Except a sandwich that one of my cooks begged me to let him run as a special on our lunch menu, years ago. He called it the Kiwi Herman and was kiwi and peanut butter, grilled on white bread. Thank God no one ordered it, it was disgusting!
